A Journey to Love is like being a diamond in the rough. As you chisel yourself into a beautiful diamond, it speaks of Love and Joy. My art is intended for those who are on a path towards Love and Joy. Striving to discover your passion through Love and Joy will assist in finding your true light and live a more soulful and authentic life. Remember, it takes time to create a beautiful diamond from the rough, so will it be with each journey until grace appears. Have courage. When times get rough, find a quiet spot in nature and listen to the silence. Follow your Heart. No matter what the consequences surrounding you, your light will eventually shine, just like a beautiful diamond.
This is my "Healing Retreat" with inspirational visionary art that tells a story. It is intended to stir your soul and bring Love and Joy into your Heart, a journey of my heart to yours. The images are my personal art and inspired through guides and an unknown gentleman who told me to start working with pastels.
I have lived on the Monterey Peninsula in California my entire life except for some years in Germany. I started the art in 1997 after speaking with this unknown gentleman working for Thunderbird Bookshop & Café in Carmel, CA. I worked in the Whole Life Center of the bookstore when a gentleman approached me at the register. He looked at me and said, “Did you know that you have very expressive eyes. Do you do any kind of art?” I replied, “No, of course not and said I could not even draw Mickey Mouse if I had to.”
The gentleman told me to buy a set of pastels and to just put the colors on the paper and see what images appear on the paper. I was tickled of what he was telling me, but suddenly a woman from behind asked for assistance. I turned around to assist the woman, but when I turned back to continue my talk with the gentleman, he was gone.
At that moment, my heart told me to go and buy the paper and pastels. When I looked at the images, they were pointing to something and I saw an opening, which was enough for me to start my journey. I went with my heart and Love To Light is the outcome of my labor of Love. I am forever thankful to the gentleman and my guides. The OM symbol contained in the images is the primordial sound, the first breath of creation and vibration of existence.
